St Peter’s is firmly in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. We seek to proclaim the gospel in Word and Sacrament and we are essentially a Eucharistic community. We seek to be a prayerful community of faith and we seek to grow in our discipleship through the study and embrace of the Holy Scriptures.

St Peter’s is a “Traditionalist” church. This doesn’t mean that we’re dull and boring, it means that we hold to the traditional teachings of the church as handed down by the apostles and relayed through the ages by the faithful saints to the present time. In order to show our commitment to the importance of tradition in Christian teaching and practice, the PCC has passed resolutions ABC in accordance with the Act of Synod 1993 and looks to the Bishop of Ebbsfleet for Episcopal care and oversight.
